Katie is a true geek. She doesn’t like to admit it, and she hasn’t fully adopted the habits of geekdom (note, she still gets ready before she goes out and she loves cute clothes). But she is a geek. And I love her for it.

A few Sundays ago at family dinner Katie gave me a tootsie roll. 99% of the population probably has no clue what the acronym on the wrapper of the tootsie roll meant, but Katie did. And not only did she know what it meant, but she gave it to me because I am her geek. I thought it was adorable and it truly did make my “digits exponential” as I like to say (just as an FYI, that can mean anything, e.g.: my heart jump with joy).

Anyway, here’s a low resolution photo of the tootsie roll before I embraced my inner geek and ate the joyous substance called candy in order to sustain my geeky figure ;)

Ironically, I made a comment on a family member’s blog tonight about the joys of WYSIWYG editors and how it inspired me to manage my own blog forever ago because I couldn’t handle Blogger’s WYSIWYG interface ;)

I know it was only a few days ago that I posted about how much Katie does for me and for our family on a day-to-day basis, but I just wanted to take another moment to thank her for everything she has done these past few days. I know that all the stress of me being in the hospital, not knowing what exactly was wrong, and not being able to have the convenience of being at home with Paisley and me around has made life pretty hectic. I just wanted to take a minute to make a late post to tell my valentine how much I love her! I know I’m late and I apologize, especially since that seems to be happening a little too much lately.

Anyway, I just wanted to take a moment to express my love and appreciation for all that you do. I know it’s next to impossible to maintain the house, do the laundry, clean up, scrapbook, watch Paisley, feed Paisley, and still go shopping and prepare food. Thank you for all the effort you put into every day and for the love you show me in countless ways through your example!

Thank you for setting an example for me on taking care of your body. Congratulations on fitting into you pre-pregnancy size 0 jeans again after only 4.5 months (even though you haven’t had to work out or diet to accomplish it)! Read the rest of this entry »
